Symposium in Tula

On November 8-9, MISMA took part in the AIMS & AIRS Russia 2023 symposium, organized by the Agrofeed Rus company for specialists in three areas - poultry farming, pig farming and cattle farming.

Issues related to feeding productive animals were discussed at the event, participants shared modern solutions that improve production indicators.

MISMA specialists made presentations on feed solutions for each of the industries. The accumulated experience of using feed additives on livestock farms of the Russian Federation has become the basis for effective feed programs presented in the framework of the reports.

Poultry farming

At egg production enterprises, there is an acute problem of contaminated and defective eggs, which directly affects the company’s profit. The reasons for substandard products may be hidden both in the conditions of keeping the poultry and in the feeding habits. Taking into account the specifics of the enterprise, it is recommended to use:

• sodium butyrate to control intestinal inflammation, increase feed digestibility and increase egg shell strength: BUTYLin 54, Menoso 70
• mannanase enzyme to reduce inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract and reduce the humidity of the litter: Misma Zim M
• carotenoids to enhance egg yolk coloration and strengthen immunity: Biopromis Lutein 20 and Biopromis Lutein 40, Canthaxanthin 10%.

The feed program, which is aimed at improving the quality characteristics of eggs, helps reduce the proportion of dirty eggs, shell defects and improve the consumer quality of products.

Pig farming

In industrial pig farms, animals have a constant and irreparable deficiency of microelements. This is reflected in the quality of the final product. To improve the quality of pig meat, MISMA suggests using a number of feed additives, the organic form of which promotes better absorption in the intestines and, as a result, increases business efficiency:

• pure selenomethionine Biopromis Selenium Power, the “chief performer” in the body’s antioxidant system – a non-toxic form of selenium with maximum absorption to reduce the effects of oxidative stress
• Biopromis Chromium picolinate – regulates glucose levels, as a result of which the rate of fat deposition decreases and the water-holding capacity of meat increases
• Gamma-aminobutyric acid Misma GABA – reduces stress and irritability, promotes feed consumption, body weight gain and an increase in the proportion of lean meat.

Cattle farming

In high-yielding dairy cows, increases in milk yield by increasing endogenous glucose or starch intake is limited. The use of protected glucose in the rumen is the most effective way to control cases of hypoglycemia in the herd, maintain the health of dairy cows and increase milk yield at peak lactation.
An effective solution to compensate for high energy costs after calving is the Menoglu glucose source, protected from breakdown in the rumen.
